This made my day

It was a week of ups and downs. I hope it’s been a good one for you.

That whole election thing…at this point I’ll have to say no comment.

Maybe it’s still settling into my brain, maybe i’m still in shock.

Anyway, on the FUN side of things…a little story.

I woke up the other day, rolled over and checked my phone. (not the greatest habit, I know…)

Amongst my emails was a message from a random company via the Kickstarter messaging system.

They keep the pitch videos on there forever and they have good SEO, so they often come up at the top of google.

So that morning I saw this:

jar-handle-wow

Looks like a pretty random company wants to buy 8000 units of my product 🙂

Apparently it’s for a vodka brand looking to distribute their vodka/moonshine in a Mason Jar…with a handle.

It’s a 1 in a million match-up.

And although this has sent me scrambling around this week trying try to get everything set up…

eg.
check the production timeline at the factory
get the cost for special metallic colour/finish
arrange for rush production to meet the deadline
send the price quote to the buyer

Sure there’s a some stress in my mind about whether or not it will work out or not… the whole thing could easily fall through.

But even just the feeling that there’s demand for my product and a chance to land a decent sized deal … it’s made my week seem a bit brighter.

Plus, it serves as even more validation for this product…always a good thing!

Alright, that’s it. I just wanted to share that bit of excitement with you.

Key Takeaways:

1 – If you have a good idea and it works and people like it and if you’re passionate about it…you should pursue it!

2 – Be sure to celebrate your little wins along the way.
